This is a portrait of Hayes Tate, who lost his battle with cancer in 2017, pictured here with his triplet siblings, Heath and Reese. Of the three, Hayes is the only one to have the cancer which took his young life. This piece was also done in conjunction with "In My Father's Eyes" the non-profit organization that provides...free of charge, including the framing...a portrait to families who have a child dealing with childhood cancer. Many have lost that battle, but many have also beaten the cancer.

I was raised in the home of a Southern Baptist minister and blessed with a loving, nurturing family. God’s blessings have been in evidence my entire life and it is His grace through Christ Jesus that has provided the abilities I have. I began drawing at a very early age and drew my first portraits in junior high school. My mother remembers me as “always having a pencil in her hand”. There were no art classes offered during high school, so I was excited to be able to attend, and earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from, Mississippi University for Women.
