Artist's Description

This is a portrait done from a picture I snapped in the winter of 2007, Texas. He was pleading to be let back into the house. It is done using pastels and colored pencil on Stonehenge white paper. The piece is part of a private collection. All rights reserved by the artist.

Tess Lee Miller

I was raised in the home of a Southern Baptist minister and blessed with a loving, nurturing family. God’s blessings have been in evidence my entire life and it is His grace through Christ Jesus that has provided the abilities I have. I began drawing at a very early age and drew my first portraits in junior high school. My mother remembers me as “always having a pencil in her hand”. There were no art classes offered during high school, so I was excited to be able to attend, and earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from, Mississippi University for Women. I am currently the President of the Artist Association of the Inland Empire and will soon begin my second term. Over the past few years I've been awarded numerous awards in juried...
