I was raised in the home of an amazing minister and blessed with a loving, nurturing family. God's blessings have been in evidence my entire life and it is His grace through Christ Jesus that has provided the life, opportunities and abilities I have. I began drawing at a very early age and drew my first portraits in junior high school. My mother once told me she remembers me as "always having a pencil in her hand". There were no art classes offered during high school, so I was excited to be able to attend, and earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from, Mississippi University for Women.
March 2016 ended my two-year term as the President of the Associated Artists of the Inland Empire. It was without a doubt the most fun and most fulfilling time of my "retired" life. Over the past few years I've been awarded numerous awards in juried shows including Best of Show, first, second, third and honorable mentions. Even though life itself has gotten pretty busy, I still enjoy making art when time and opportunity allow. I currently work solely to create beautiful heirloom-quality commissioned artwork at a reasonable cost for your home, office or as a gift.
